We discussed about 'The effects of covid-19 on working life and education'

Memur-Sen and Eğitim-Bir-Sen president Ali Yalçın made a meeting with trade union representatives of Arabic speaking countries.

During the teleconference participants talk about the effects of Covid-19 on education.


Ali Yalçın gave information about the situation in Turkey and the activities done by Eğitim-Bir-Sen and Memur-Sen. Yalçın said “Within the measure to fight against covid-19 the government closed all the schools the 16th of March. The education continues online and on the state television. All our students has the opportunity to follow their lessons via Televisions and online. Our teachers do the best they can do.”


“As Memur-Sen and its affiliated unions we donated 2 million Turkish Lira to the campaign started by the government to fight against covid-19. Once more we could see the importance of vocational high-school. In Turkey vocational high-school students are producing masks, sanitizer and respiratory equipments.” Said Yalçın.

We need to be united and work all together to fight against the covid-19 said Yalçın and he added “I have to say that in Turkey we work all together to fight this pandemic. Every state institution, nurses, doctors all the health service workers are doing their best”


At the end of the meeting Yalçın thanked all the participants for their contribution and he said “Our cooperation will continue. We will overcome this difficult period all together.”
